1334 posts · Joined 2017. #2 · Dec 31, 2017 (Edited) 1st verify that you have very good FM reception; if that is weak too, check for corrosion at the antenna. 2nd check the wiring, especially at the hatch. Check which side has the antenna and look for broken wires behind behind the rubber sleeve between body and hatch door.

Answered by Dan Powell. Try resetting the infotainment system to its factory settings (the owner's manual will tell you how to do this). If this doesn't fix the problem then it may be an internal wiring problem, which would explain the radio switching itself on. This will require further investigation by the dealer. Tags: dab radio.

After searching the web I found out that the radio has a hidden TEST DAB menu. Bringing this up shows 3 soft buttons: Ant, Q and BER. None of these work. The menu also shows a signal-level thermometer bar. This is empty. The scan buttons cycle through all the DAB Ensembles. The signal level never increases.

I plugged my 0805 in and noticed a light hiss on my car stereo. It's only there when i plug in the power cable. The fix is rather easy, get a good quality 12v dc to 5v dc converter. You could hardwire it with a 12v to 5v kit which should fix the problem, don't use the included power cable. ^{It's still a fair bit pricier than the standard DAB radio (but cheaper than the new SuperConnect Stereo). But it's jam-packed with extra features, including internet radio, Bluetooth, network streaming and Spotify Connect, not to mention the same physical connections (analogue and digital, 3.5mm headphone jack) as its Stereo sibling.}

Everything but the DAB radio is working perfectly including FM/AM radio, CD player, bluetooth phone integration and full Mini-Connected integration from the iPhone (which is absolutely superb), loving Glympse and Audible support. I know I have a DAB signal in my area as the DAB radio in my last Mini worked fine after some initial coaxing (DejaVu!). qqpsxkx.
