The girl on fire is given as tribute to the Ultra HD Blu-ray games with a strong and generally satisfying HEVC H.265 encode in HDR10. Although the picture quality doesn't quite compare to other releases or offer a night and day difference over its Blu-ray counterpart from a few years ago, the 4K video nonetheless boasts a nice upgrade with plenty of visible improvements.
The dual-layered UHD66 disc sits comfortably opposite a Region Free, BD50 disc, and both are housed inside a black, eco-cutout case with a glossy slipcover. A DVD upscale to 4K is similar, there's no information there to upscale it that much. With blu ray upscale to 4K, it ilqxrually has a similar issue, but because blu-rays have more on screen information than a DVD, it handles it better. The upscale may look fine, but go up close to your TV, you will notice it isn't perfect.

Some transfers suck, but that shouldn’t be many, especially if it’s coming from a boutique label. It’s usually a worthy upgrade from 1080p to 4K if they have the equipment to do so. Also in regards to picture quality ratings, a 4-star for a Blu-ray film vs a 4k film is not the same. That’s like rating a Toyota Corolla 2010 vs a 2022.
